I took the header picture! :)

I took this header picture today. What do you think? I convinced my Dad and Brother to go on a walk in the snow. It was a great adventure! You can see the other pictures from our walk and making the snowman on my facebook.

Let it snow! Then clear by Monday.

I got up at my usual time today and started getting ready to make my pilgrimage to work. I was in the middle of brushing my teeth when my Mom handed me the phone. Not the best time to be handed the phone..... It was my boss. She was not sure if she wanted me to go into work and told me to wait till 9:00am and call her back to see if she wanted me to make the drive.
I hadn't looked outside yet and was now very curious. I should not have looked! Now, usually I love the snow! Perhaps if I had not been looking at the snow with the eyes of someone thinking that they might actually have drive in it the snow might have seemed a lot less menacing. Today the white fluff felt like it was threatening me.
My boss called me back at about 8:45am. The kids school had been canceled for the day and she had decided not to go into work. What a relief!
Monday if the show is cleared I will have a mini Christmas with the kids I nanny for and take a little time to open our gifts to each other. I'm looking forward to it. :)
So, today I am safe and warm in my cozy home. Plus I don't have to go back to work till Monday. :)

I will probably not write on my blog before Christmas so I will say it now.

MARRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
And God bless.

Look out! It's a SUICIDE TREE!!!

Something exciting always seems to happen when Dear Emmy calls.
This time I was sitting on my bed talking on the phone with her when I heard a loud crash coming from the living room. It sounded like glass shattering. While running to the livingroom I told Emmy something happened and I would have to call her back.

I was surprised to see our fiber optic tree was no longer on the mantle above the fireplace.
It seems that my family was just sitting in the living room watching a Christmas movie when the tree fell off the mantle taking with it several family pictures! What makes this even more interesting is that the tree was several inches from the edge of the mantel.
Tiny fragments of glass were everywhere. We are not sure exactly what happened. It's as if the tree just decide to jump!
