A great woman.

This morning my Grandma Ann ( my Dad's Mom ) past away in her sleep.

She had been very sick for a long time.

The last time I talked to her she told me she was ready to go home and see God and her family she also thought it would be nice to see Moses.

My Grandma had a lot of love to give and she gave of it freely.

Every card she sent and phone conversation we had she would say the same thing ...
I love you so much, you will never know how much I love you, and I am so proud of you,

I will always remember her for the love she gave and her devout faith in God.

I love you Grandma I'll see you soon.

Happy Birthday Edward

By the Way, Yesterday was my Brothers 20th Birthday!
I can hardly believe it, The time has gone by so fast.
Happy Birthday Edward!
I love you!

I'm ready for Spring Weather!

I don't know about you, but I am so ready for spring weather!
Ready for the rain and wind to go away, the sunshine to come back and again warm my world.

This is one of my favorite verses..

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.

Random Thoughts

I don't really have anything to post about right now, but just wanted to you all to know I am still alive!

Someone told me that I should just post some random thoughts so here they are . . .

Why do people say that grass is green when grass can be brown or blue?

Why do people say the sky is blue when it can be black or gray?

Why do people say that water is blue when it can be clear, green, brown, or gray?

If you really think about the sayings people use every day they are actually quite funny, such as . . .

Hog wash. How many people wash their hogs?

Killing time. How can you kill time?

Hold your horses. I know you can hold the reigns but how do you hold a horse? It would be really heavy.

I can't wrap my head around that. That would hurt.

Money runs through your fingers. Money can't run. It has no legs.

Slower than a seven-year itch. Now that would be uncomfortable.

I'm dead tired. If you’re dead, you can't be tired.

My feet are killing me. If they are killing you sue them for attempted murder and get some new shoes.

Horse feathers. Horses don't have feathers.

Do you have any funny phrases?

Poems

I have been reading the book "The Remarkable Woman of the Bible" and came across these.
They really made me think.

#1
My life is but a weaving
between my Lord and me;
I cannot choose the colors
he worketh steadily.

Ofttimes he weaveth sorrow
and I, in foolish pride,
Forget that he seeth the upper,
and I the under side.

Not till the loom is silent
and the shuttles cease to fly,
Shall God unroll the canvas
and explain the reason why.

The dark threads are as needful
in the Weaver's hand,
As the threads of gold and silver
in the pattern he has planned.

#2
Dear one hold all things lightly and nothing tightly when it comes to God...
and that "all" includes your best, most costly treasures!

#3
Afraid of what?
To feel the spirit's glad release?
To pass from pain to perfect peace.
The strife and strain of life to cease?
Afraid - of that?

I so often I forget that all I need to do is trust in the Lord and he shall direct my paths. This was a good reminder.

The latest news

I have had a lot of requests to update my blog - so here goes.

We are trying to sell our house. We want to move closer to my dad's work. It seems just about everything we do is in the city. I drive to town almost every day for work. The Church we attend is also there. Almost every week we look at new areas of the County. We have looked at Sudden valley and many different areas.

We have been here just short of two years so we are still learning about this county. My family is open to any input on specific areas such as Sudden Valley, Fairhaven, Roosevelt and so on.

The nice thing about living in Lynden has been life is slower up here and it has a lower crime rate. We have never lived in such a big city area before so Lynden has been a nice haven until we get used to the traffic and so on of this area.
As for an exiting event in my life, I have not had one nearly as exciting as crust's or aimless or Crystal's for that matter but I did almost get into a car accident. But, I guess that is normal for living around a larger city.

I do have a suggestion. It might be nice to go skating soon.

So there you have it, the latest news.
That's it for now.

Alarming!

Why is it something that should be so simple often turns out more complicated then it should be?
I was just trying to be helpful, I was suppose to be trading shifts with the morning receptionist for a day. (She had a test.) So, as usual,I said, "Yes," and filled in for her. Everyone that knows me knows that I have an intense dislike of mornings.

My day started off at 4:00 a.m. To me Bellingham is really scary at 5:35 in the morning! Well..My new office key worked great but my code to disarm the building alarm did not. So I was by myself at work with the building alarms going off!

I had to call my boss and tell him what was happening. He gave me an over- ride # and the alarm stopped. He never said a word about it latter that day when He came in to work. I like my boss!!

Have you got the part about 5:35 a.m. and I was up by 4:00a.m.!

at about 9:00 I got a call from the morning receptionist. She got the days wrong her test is on Thursday and wanted to know if I could fill in for her again! Luckily I had a hair appointment that morning:)

Don't worry guys I'm not going to cut it just trim the ends.

So once again I was reminded why I don't like mornings.........

A sunrise is just a sunset backwards.

Answered prayers.

In my new job I receive an average of two hundred and fifty calls a day and talk to all kinds of people from all over the world. Some are more interesting than others - some very friendly some not as friendly. For instance, one man said that he had more trouble with installing than pulling hens teeth then laughed! He was fun to talk to. We all know how computers can be. One lady wanted the name of the person that would be calling her back. To help her, I said his name is Bill. She asked me to spell that name for her. I did, she asked me to spell it again. I spelled it for her about five times very slowly. The people at work who heard had a good laugh. Several callers have told me that I have a very lovely phone voice and I should be on TV or the radio!:) I don't really believe that, but it is nice to here good things said about me,It's encouraging. We all need encouragement along with constructive criticizing sometimes. In all, I love my new job. I like what I do. I have very supportive co workers. I get paid more than I ever have been paid, plus it's one of the easiest jobs I have ever had:) God is good! He has given me a job with everything I have prayed for. It even has air conditioning! I am so blessed.

Green Tea?

Monday morning started off as any other typical day, but after a call from my dear Emmy that all changed. She suggested we go for a hike. Emmy also said it was a nice well populated, safe hike. It all sounded good to me... So we met at Haggens. Now it started off well enough but just after Emmy took me off the trail-- determined to lead me through the wilderness --she started to scream!!! When she finally caught her breath the word that came out was "SNAKE!" After a good laugh, we started off again just in time to see another snake -- then I led. A little after that when we started to seem lost, Emmy informed me that she had a great sense of direction as her dad was once a forest ranger. She then took one step and proceeded to slip. It was classic. I had a another good laugh. We then found some flowers and stopped to pick some. "No more comments on that." We saw a deer and a dragonfly that was resting on a blade of grass. As we were now tired we headed to Starbucks and got some coffee then sat outside and talked for awhile. In all it was not my typical day or hike. Oh yeah, I promised Emmy that I would post this for her. She said that she wanted me to post something she said but I don't think it came out the way she wanted it to though. well here it is,
As I survey the golden green I think of a cup of tea. So Emmy would that be green tea?
Thanks for the hike Emmy. I admit it was very memorable and fun! Thanks to Emily we returned safe and sound and in one piece.

I got a job!

I got a job! I got a job! I got a job!!!!!!

Okay, so now that I got that out of my system, I will give you the details.
I few weeks ago I applied for a job. Last Monday I received a call asking me if I would come in for a interview. Oh boy, would I! I passed the first interview and was asked to come back for a second which was today. I start on the 14th of June as the front receptionist. I will be the first person you see when you come in those front doors or the voice you hear when you call. Say a prayer for me,the first days are always hard. If you want to know who I'll be working for just give me a call or email.
My many thanks to everyone who gave me information for the interview and your support in my job search. God has truly Blessed me by answering my prayers for just the right job.
