Poems

I have been reading the book "The Remarkable Woman of the Bible" and came across these.
They really made me think.

#1
My life is but a weaving
between my Lord and me;
I cannot choose the colors
he worketh steadily.

Ofttimes he weaveth sorrow
and I, in foolish pride,
Forget that he seeth the upper,
and I the under side.

Not till the loom is silent
and the shuttles cease to fly,
Shall God unroll the canvas
and explain the reason why.

The dark threads are as needful
in the Weaver's hand,
As the threads of gold and silver
in the pattern he has planned.

#2
Dear one hold all things lightly and nothing tightly when it comes to God...
and that "all" includes your best, most costly treasures!

#3
Afraid of what?
To feel the spirit's glad release?
To pass from pain to perfect peace.
The strife and strain of life to cease?
Afraid - of that?

I so often I forget that all I need to do is trust in the Lord and he shall direct my paths. This was a good reminder.

It has to go!

That's it I can't take it any more it has to go!
This Wednesday at 3:45 I am getting my hair cut! So say goodbye hair.
I'll try to post before and after pictures I can’t promise that I will. I may decide not to for one or all of many reasons and here they are.

#1 the pictures don't turn out.

#2 I can't get the computer to post.

#3 I don't like the pictures.

#4 I chicken out and don't get my hair cut. (but I won’t)

#5 I hate my hair and don't want anyone to see me let alone post pictruse of my bad hair cut on my blog.

So stay tuned for the results.

The latest news

I have had a lot of requests to update my blog - so here goes.

We are trying to sell our house. We want to move closer to my dad's work. It seems just about everything we do is in the city. I drive to town almost every day for work. The Church we attend is also there. Almost every week we look at new areas of the County. We have looked at Sudden valley and many different areas.

We have been here just short of two years so we are still learning about this county. My family is open to any input on specific areas such as Sudden Valley, Fairhaven, Roosevelt and so on.

The nice thing about living in Lynden has been life is slower up here and it has a lower crime rate. We have never lived in such a big city area before so Lynden has been a nice haven until we get used to the traffic and so on of this area.
As for an exiting event in my life, I have not had one nearly as exciting as crust's or aimless or Crystal's for that matter but I did almost get into a car accident. But, I guess that is normal for living around a larger city.

I do have a suggestion. It might be nice to go skating soon.

So there you have it, the latest news.
That's it for now.
