I'm Not Dead!

Okay. It's time to update my blog. People are starting to ask if I died. I told them,"Yes!" The funeral was last Saturday and they missed it! I sorry to all of those who were not invited to my funeral. I would have loved to have you come, but I was not allowed to do my own invitations.

Lets see where do I start? A lot has happened since I last posted.

Well I guess I could just tell you about some of the... hmm .... what would you call the things I get myself into? adventures? .... any suggestions? anyways here are some of the more exiting things that have happened over the last few months.

I went to summer camp! well I was a camp counselor at a summer camp. After a friend of mine called about three times to beg and plead with me. I finally agreed to be a camp counselor for a Church summer camp. I always seem to forget that when I do something that for most people should be simple and easy turns out to be a mess for me.
The first day of camp the weather decided to turn nasty and downpour. The camp ground was cold wet and muddy. but we still all had a great first day. That night was one of the tests out of many to come.
It started off with me trying to tell the seven girls I was placed in charge of (ages nine to twelve) that drinking gallons of water just before they went to bed was not such a good idea. They insisted that they needed to drink that much water and that they always did that. So I made a bet with them that the next day when they were running on no sleep do to all the bathroom trips they would inevitably have to take during the night they would then know that I was right and that I am wise and always know best. =) ha ha!
The first night went something like this..
The bunk beds did not have any ladders so all SEVEN TIMES the girls had to get out of bed to go use the all so glamorous porta-potties I had to get out of bed and help them down and when they were done help them back up again.
To top that off the girls put together an orchestra for me that they played all night long.
They had a drum section, one of the girls would kick the foot of my bed in her sleep and the girl sleeping above me kicked her heels on the bed. They had the wind section, Three girls snored and one had gas. They even had one girl sing! This girl took a few years off my life when she called out in her sleep DON'T HURT ME! and then BUT I LOVE YOU!
The camp night guards gave my cabin an award for the most trips during the night.
The next day we were going to the water slides so I took great care in putting on sunscreen -not spending to much time in the sun and drinking a tun of watter.
But to no avail! I was cooked to the point my skin was cracking and bleeding I was blacking out and throwing up! In short I got sunstroke! but I was not about to give up! I stuck it out through the last night and day. Did you know that dancing and ruining when you have sunstroke doesn't feel very good?
At one point I fell to my knees blacking out. I said a prayer and peeled myself on the blacktop and kept going.
In the end several of the mothers came over to me to say that their girls kept talking about me and how I had been such a Godly example to the girls. It is a great feeling when God uses you for his glory!

My car was broken into!
Friday morning a few months ago I was on my way to work and found my car door slightly open. I thought my things on the front seat and looked inside to see my front seat had been laid all the way back my glove compartment was open, my stereo was gone, my thermometer was gone as well as a bag of clothes I kept in the car. My gloves for ice skating, my hands free set for my sell phone and the sun glasses I had just bought at the fair!
That was the third pair of sun glasses I that summer! I'm rather reluctant to buy another pair.
The police came and took a statement and looked at the car. I then went to work.
But of course the story couldn't just end there.
Apparently cars like mine have a security system on them that when a wire is cut that if you close the car door then open it the alarm will go on and you can't turn it off! so at 9:00 down town I was sitting in my car with the alarm going off unable to start the car to make it stop! apparently it also makes it so the car can't be started so it can't be stolen. So the alarm is blaring and I'm trying to hear my mom's voice on my cell phone so she could tell me how to turn the alarm off! people start coming out of their homes to glare at me. One woman came over to my car and told me to turn that thing off! at that point I was tired stressed and all I wanted to do was cry. I looked at the woman and said what dose it look like I'm trying to do! dose it look like I'm having fun! The woman looked at me surprised as if that thought had not occurred to her then walked away. Sharon (a coworker. thanks Sharon.)got a man from a car shop near by to come over and unplugged the battery for me. (I could not do it because I didn't have the tools.)
The insurance sent me a replacement stereo. ( That's a story all in it's self.)
It really could have been worse. The police said that most of the time the robbers just bash out a window and they bust the dome light out and because they put the drivers seat all the way back they didn't see the car cooler that I keep on the car floor.
God takes good care of me. =)
The good news is I got a new car!
It's a silver 2006 Nisson Sentra and it's my baby!

Today was my last day at my currant work place.
I start work as a nanny in two weeks for three Children.
There are two girls, one is four and the other is eight and then one boy, he is eleven.
The Job is the same amount of hours that I am working now except I will get better pay and hours. They are also going to give me health benefits through there business! Yeah Health Insurance....
So while you are all working away in your small offices I will be playing at the park or taking them to the water slide or maybe out for ice cream or a museum. The Sky's the limit.
God is so good! :)

That's it for now. I'll try to post more soon.
